Ebakenoza,
Why don't you try something different and step up to the plate and offer to help and/or coordinate an activity.

We are working to put together some events, though nothing like last year - it wasn't funded well for this year. We are looking to have the PD/FD Softball game with a BBQ, children's activities like those last year held at the Association Hall. There is a great deal of interest in holding another Art Show, and maybe a local band with a street/parking lot dance. Fire works would take the entire budget given and we need VOLUNTEERS with ideas, helping hands, and input. There has been some talk of having it September when it is cooler and more folks are around - thoughts on changing the month?

If interested, call Patty at the Town Hall.

Patty,
It would be good to check in with the people who do the Old Home Day stuff.

The Old Meeting House Association has discussed ideas for 2012 thinking that there was not enough lead time for August 2011.

Ebakenoza,
I could understand why you wouldn't want to coordinate an event. Sheila had, from what I heard, put on quite a show at no cost to the Town... Now she works for Hampstead :P

Tom,
Equating Shelia's show at Danville's 250th celebration and her not being reappointed by a unanimous decision by the Board illustrates just one of the many reasons why you were not elected to the Board. They simply have nothing to do with one another.

Shawn,
Sometimes I use emoticons, especially ones with a smiling mouth with its tongue out, to indicate when I am joking or not being entirely serious. Also, being as though you threw a little fit when I accidentally spelled your name wrong, I should point out that you continue to spell Sheila's name wrong, even after she had corrected you. Now, should I make some remark about your "artistic integrity" like you did for me, or will it confuse you into thinking that I am calling you an artist?

I do admit that I misspelled Sheila's name wrong. That was by accident and I apologize to her for that fact. There was no fit on my part as I was just pointing out a fact about your self proclaimed artistic ability asymptotically approaching zero . I never proclaimed to be an artist like you have done to the SoD community. You could only wish for the day that you, Mr. Billbrough, will confuse me.

The way things are going maybe we should rename this site to TomNShawnTalkinBoutSheila.org :D :D

Seriously, it's getting tiresome.

Then simply don't read it.
The same could be said about the entire history of the Spring family tree that we have been somewhat forced to read over your 5404 posts.

I'm so offended you misspelled my name. :D

And obviously you did not read my family stuff closely at all. The family names in Danville and Kingston are Dimond and Judkins, not Springer. I did a search on those two names and found of my 5,404 posts over five years exactly 18 posts in 17 threads contained one or both of those names. I haven't searched but I bet you and Tom have had more exchanges than that over Sheila in the last six months.

You might have enjoyed talking with my aunt Janet about the Springer family. She related to me how my grandfather (her father) Springer heard the news that Franklin Roosevelt had died and said how glad he was that the bastard was dead and I think some unprintable things. We were standing in line at Independence Hall and the other visitors started giving us funny looks. My grandfather was in the first wave at Omaha Beach on D-Day at the age of 48 and it affected him profoundly.

I used to participate in a newsgroup back in the usenet days. Two guys hijacked every single thread and turned it into an insultfest. I worry about that when I read you and Tom going back and forth on the same old same old stuff in new threads. You say "simply don't read it." I fear that people will just stop reading SoD as a whole.
