Yes you can request a 2nd recycle cart. Casella will provide one provided you show a need which should be very easy if you are requesting one. If you have questions please call Janet in the BOS office at 382-8253 x4.

Another option is to dump it in the paper recycling dumpster at the Elementary School. They take all paper types (EXCEPT cardboard or chipboard like cereal boxes). We dump our shredded stuff in there in a plastic bag (requires you poke holes in the plastic bag).

It's a green and yellow dumpster to the right of the school as you drive up to it.

PLEASE avoid pickup (8 -9 AM) and drop off (2:45 - 3:45 PM) times if you do swing by.

This raises money (not very much) for the school and also decreases our waste (assuming you're throwing your paper in the trash container). This could be a nice double dip for the community, raising money for the school and, at the same time, decreasing the Casella bill for the town. We throw all of our paper recycling into the bin at the school.

This week I think we could have easily filled two recycling bins. Ours is overflowing, we still have more stored until it gets emptied. Unfortunately we need to wait another week for Casella to make the collection. I wonder if Casella would consider add an extra recycling pick up at Christmas. I'm at a point where as soon as it's empty it will be full again. I will wait it out for a few, but I may need to take some recycling to work and dump in the bin there, or I will have no choice but to start tossing it in with the trash. This week was the first time in 6-12 months that our trash bin was full. Typically our large trash tote is 30%-40% full and the recycle is typically 100% full. With Christmas things are even tighter.

This is a great idea. We are overflowing as well and could use an extra recycle pickup.
