Unitil protestors will take to the sky

HAMPTON — A Hampstead man is taking his protest of Unitil's December 2008 ice storm response to the sky.

Dennis Herrick has hired a pilot to fly over the Unitil headquarters in Hampton today with a sign that reads "Unitil, you're an embarrassment to N.H." The plane will take off at 9:30 a.m. from Hampton Airfield to coincide with the company's annual shareholders meeting at 10 a.m.

"I'm protesting Unitil's high rates and abysmal service during the December ice storm," Herrick said.

Unitil, through its attorneys, declined to comment on Herrick's protest.

I do not agree with Mr. Herrick on many issues but on this one I like his creativity.

Yah, that where your maintenance is at its poorest. Get one of your line bosses on it! What, you got rid of line bosses to cut costs? I'm going to suggest a few pages that I think you should look at and they're not the ones from that Danville, NH twit. He lives in the "Boston Bubble", just like you.

Gee, I wonder whom he was talking about? :D

Mr. Twit,
He was talking about you.
:)

The only aspect of him that I found appealing was the creativity to fly over Unitil's annual stockholder meeting.

I agree, it was clever.

My only real problem with Dennis is the antisemitism. Just because the Unitil CEO, Robert Schoenberger, came from New York and has a name that might be Jewish, Dennis kept sounding off about how Unitil was run by "New York Jews", and even going so far as saying "when you pay your Unitil bill, think about Kristallnacht."

Aside from that, he is one of the phony "libertarians" who want freedom to do what they want to do, but who want government to tromp down on people and activities that they don't like.

These type of comments show ones true colors.

While I consider myself to be a libertarian, I don't share 100% of the beliefs. It is also quite common that people don't always hold true to party lines. There are quite a few RINOs (Republican In Name Only) out there. We don't need to look far to know this to be true. Even here in NH we have a Democratic governor that has some conservative views.

I agree with Shawn that comments like the ones you say Dennis Herrick has made shows a persons true colors. It's sad to see someone get judged by their heritage rather than their actions.

Dennis just can't lay off the antisemitism.

Now he has changed "JUNITIL" to "LOONITIL". A good thing.

Dennis,
One of my correspondents shares your concern about monopoly electric utilities:

What sickens me at the highest point is that if I not pay my account, they will send notices to cut my electricity. By cons, while they make mistakes, no matter who, when, how, why, all these bureaucrats will get off to good accounts and they are the same that could send the collection agencies at home!

Hydro-Quebec seems to have underestimated my power consumption. Again, I doubt that my wife and I have truly consumed $ 378 in 63 days. Hogwash. According to Paul Arcand, the communications Hydro-Quebec does not want to speak before the month of September because they're trying to put order in their lies
